Halloween Costumes: Day #31

Today's the 31st pair of Halloween Costumes. I went with my obvious inspiration for Snugs, Winston, and the whole of Animal City for the final costumes of the month. I really didn't know if I was up to the task of completing costumes for everyday this month but I guess I was. Thank you to everyone for their kind comments, feedback, and encouragement for all of October.

Right now I'm going to power through completing the third issue of "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs" so that I can have it on sale before Thanksgiving. If you haven't bought the previous two books you can do so HERE. On Friday I"m going to post Issue #1 in its entirety for people to become familiar with the mystery. I decided to delve into some of my favorite movies for today's costume inspiration. I'm actually pretty fond of today's costumes because the cinema characters mean so much to me. Halloween Costumes: Day #17

Kenny Powers put it best when he said "Sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm." I feel that this quote is apt for Day 17 in a month long marathon of 2 costumes a day. Simply put: this is a return to Thor's Day.

If you're new to my comics I'll catch you up to speed: last fall I had a 10 week stint making comics about the thunder god, Thor, attempting to find employment in the mortal realm. Every Thursday was Thor's Day and I'd do a new 3 panel strip. After 10 weeks I decided the joke was over and that I'd do some real work on an original property: ES.

Today being Thursday and a day in need of some costumes I figured I'd make it a Throwback Thor's Day. Hope you enjoy them and the music at the end of the post. Let me know what you think HERE.

We're now on the sixteenth day of Halloween Costumes and it also happens to be Winston Wednesday. Halloween Costumes: Day #8

Another day, another couple of costumes. Before we get to Snugs & Winston I thought I'd make mention of the monthly quiz night I co-host in my entry today because our Halloween quiz is tonight. This quiz will double as a food drive for the Food Bank of WNY and we're trying to collect a variety of non-perishable goods for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. If you're in the Buffalo area and want to come to the quiz that would be great and you'd be helping out some people who are truly in need, PLUS you'll get 5 points for every non-perishable food item you bring with you (up to 50 points). Hope you'll be there!

As for today's Halloween Costumes, we're on day 8, and today's costumes are a bit more traditional compared to the Disney-fied, caveman, skeletal forms we've been seeing. Hope you like them. Let me know HERE.
