Winston Wednesday (7.17.13)

Hey everybody, it's Winston Wednesday so it's time for a website update.  I have some cool news: You'll be able to order "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs" Issue #2 through this website on Monday July 29th!  Sorry for the delays on this issue, but I've had numerous setbacks with technology the past month and a half. I'm really thinking that the turnaround time on Issue #3 should be somewhere around 6 weeks, so let's keep our fingers crossed.  If you haven't already bought Issue #1 you can do so by clicking the "Add to Cart" button on the side of the page. Winston Wednesday (7.10.13)

Well, it's Winston Wednesday and as promised here is a website update. I know I say this every week on the site but the second issue of "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs" should be done VERY soon and available for purchase.  As a show of a good faith I've decided to post the first 2 pages of the new issue.  I hope you enjoy them and I hope they keep you in good suspense for the full issue.  I can't imagine the wait will be very much longer.  Enjoy and stay tuned for more news.

Winston Wednesday 6.26.13

It's Winston Wednesday, so here's a bit of an update for the new comic: had to re-install some computer programs and recolor a number of panels but the 2nd issue is coming along.  I seriously (seriously) hope to have it for order in the next 2 weeks.  Since last week I had a birthday and camping trip, so it hasn't all been frustration.  Below is a colored version of one of the panels from the new book.  If you haven't already ordered Issue #1 you can do so by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button on the right side of the screen. Winston Wednesday 6.12.13

It's Winston Wednesday which means it's time for a site update.  I've decided to share the first 10 pages from the first issue of The Casebook of Elijah Snugs in case people haven't read it so far (it can be purchased by clicking "Add to Cart" on the right side of the page).

I've had some computer problems (including the website) over the last 3 weeks, but I'm closing the gap and coming very close to finishing off Issue #2 and it should be out before the month is over.  Thanks to everyone for their patience and I'll be sure to let you know when it's ready for order.  Talk again soon!

It's Winston Wednesday which means I'm updating again.  I'm happy to say that I have a full color version of the cover for "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs" #2.  It's an interesting teaser of what's to come in the Case of the Opulent & Absent Ovum.  If you haven't read issue #1 you can order it online by clicking "add to cart" on the side of this page.  I'll be taking pre-orders for the new book in the next week or so, so stay tuned!

It's Wednesday, so here's the website update as promised.  I was going to post the cover for issue #2 of "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs", but I wasn't 100% happy with it, so I figured I'd share an image of a new character from the upcoming issue instead.  I don't want to divulge too much, but his name is "Chevalier."  I hope to finish the comic in the next 2 weeks and begin taking orders for it then.  Remember, if you haven't ordered issue #1 you can by clicking the "Add to Cart" button on the side of the page.  More information very soon.

A look at Issue #2

Hey guys, it's (Winston) Wednesday which means I'm updating the website again with a sneak peak at the upcoming issue of "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs."  I'm really trying to stay on top of things and keep with the updates so we'll see how that goes.  Below are some pages from my sketch book that show some of the rough drawings of panels that will be included.  They're not yet inked and will require some eraser work, but they're there for you to look at.  Also included is a colored image I posted on my facebook fanpage last week I forgot to include on the site.  In case you haven't ordered Issue #1 you can do so by clicking the "Add to Cart" link on the right sidebar.  Hope you like them and stay tuned because I'll be taking pre-orders for Issue #2 in the coming weeks.

Winston in "Any way you slice it"

Here's a comic strip I did for the first issue of "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs".  It appears in the final two pages of the comic is unrelated to the main story. It's meant to be a throwback to those little unrelated side stories in "Archie Digest".  This one's in full color whereas the one in the book is rendered in gray scale.  Also, I should mention that you can now buy the first issue of "Elijah Snugs" online!  You'll notice an "Add to Cart" button on the side of your screen.  Just follow the directions and you'll be the proud owner of a new indie comic in no time!  Hope you enjoy it!

The Casebook of Elijah Snugs #1

Hey guys, just a reminder that tomorrow is the first day of the Buffalo Small Press Book Fair at Karpeles Manuscript Library where I'll be releasing the first issue of "The Casebook Elijah Snugs."  Below is the cover of the debut issue.  I had a lot of fun writing & drawing this book about a koala and pig detective team and I hope you enjoy it.  I should also mention that I'll be selling a number of framed working sketches from the comic, pins, bookmarks, and some of my older comics and zines.  I'll be sure to post pictures from the event next week.

Buffalo Small Press Book Fair April 6th & 7th

Hey guys, as I had mentioned in my last site update, I'll be participating in this year's Buffalo Small Press Book Fair.  Below is a little write-up about the book fair from their website.  Hope to see you there!

The 2013 Buffalo Small Press Book Fair takes place on Saturday, April 6, from noon to 6pm AND Sunday, April 7, from 11am-5pm.  The event will be held at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, Porter Hall, located at 453 Porter Avenue in Buffalo, NY. (Click HERE for map and directions.)

The book fair is a two-day event that brings booksellers, authors, bookmakers, zinesters, small presses, artists, poets, and regional cultural workers together in a venue where they can share ideas and peddle their wares. Tables will be available at the event where people can showcase and sell their work. Poetry readings, performances, discussions, and related lectures are also scheduled to go on throughout the day. The event is FREE to attend and open to the public.

The Casebook of Elijah Snugs!

Hey, guys!  It's been a long time since I've updated this page, so I've decided to relaunch the website now that I've readied some new work for release.  The project I'm most anxious to share with people is "The Casebook of Elijah Snugs."  This forthcoming book is about a haughty yet talented investigator named Elijah and his best friend and sidekick, Winston.  I'll be selling the first issue at the Buffalo Small Press Book Fair on April 6th & 7th along with some other comics and zines.  What I wanted to do is share a full color version of the first 3 pages of the debut issue to let people know a little about this new character.  Hope you like this brief glimpse and I'll have some more posts closer to the Book Fair.
